Mythic Mentoring in the Dark half of the year takes inspiration from Celtic mythology. The Geimhridh, the Winter-half runs between the Festival of Samhain (Halloween) and the Festival of Bealtaine (May Day). It includes some of the other major festivals such as the Winter Solstice (Grianstad) and Imbolc, the Festival of Brigid (February 1). Some scholars believe that the Celtic Year began at Samhain, in the darkness of the year, as the land became fallow and the winter set in. Mentoring at this time takes heed of the impulse to turn inward, to rest, to wait for the Spring, and to move towards the opening of summer, in Bealtaine. It follows a movement from darkness to light, that values both. The six months of Geimhridh is a time when, mythologically, the doors to our inner realms are often open and we can be receptive to the deep, inner wisdom of our souls.
I invite you to join me in this process.
This 12 session mentoring program, takes a holistic and integrative approach to support your insight, growth, and transformation, based on imaginal practices, including working with myth, dreams, and Deep Imagery. It is a journey of transformation, a process tailored to your needs and guided by your inner guides.
The journey of transformation often leads us to a rich unearthing of the vast potential contained within ourselves. This process invites us to spend more time at the level of our being. Life changes when we do this. We become more intuitive and creative when facing the problems of daily living; we find solutions with greater ease, we trust our intuitive responses, we learn to trust at a profound level. Life becomes our companion, our teacher. We can find we have more energy for living, and greater joy, peace, and connection to self, to others, and to the natural world.
We begin to know how to pay attention to the vital aspects of our inner world that we that were always there but perhaps remained unnoticed as we did not know how to be with them.
What does the transformational journey look like?
The transformational journey is the most profound sacred and mysterious of human experiences. This work begins and ends with your own awareness and aliveness. Mythic Mentoring assists you in the process by giving you some of the tools you need, tools that will sustain you in the long term. These tools include Deep Imagery, myth, mindfulness, etc.
The process will help you engage with your deep aliveness and nurture your well-being. And in turn, it will support you to find ways of purposefully living from this renewed aliveness – in your work, personal life, and within relationships.
This holistic form of mentoring creates a space for transformation to happen and then teaches you how to be with it.
It expands your idea of who you are and gifts you the space to explore. It looks at life experiences, including crisis and trauma as doorways to growing; as an opportunity to become more, to embrace aliveness, to become more whole.
We will have twelve 60-80 minute check-in sessions held via video conference, during which we’ll review what is happening, explore anything, positive or negative, that has presented itself for your attention, and process, through the imaginal, whatever needs attention.
Following our check-in sessions, I will provide you with a recording. I will also provide you with recommended resources including articles, videos, books, and more. I am available in between sessions to answer questions and offer additional support and positive accountability as needed.
